M. Hakan Kara

I’m a first-year PhD student at the University of Maryland, College Park. I work on computer vision and embodied AI, with a focus on efficient vision-language-action (VLA) models.

Before joining UMD, I worked as an AI engineer at HAVELSAN for four years and received my BSc and MSc in Computer Engineering from Bilkent University.
